Packaging with Purpose

Our approach is simple: design packaging that protects the product, improves installer efficiency, and reduces waste at every stage.
Calculate how much plastic you have or can save by choosing Excel

Where packaging is required, we use responsibly sourced, FSC‑certified cardboard. It’s a practical, sustainable alternative that still provides the strength and protection our products demand.
This ensures:
Full recyclability
Reduced environmental impact
Ethical and traceable material sourcing

To further minimise packaging volume, Excel offers multipack options across a growing number of product lines. It’s a smarter, more efficient way to deliver high‑volume products and save installers time onsite.
Multipacks reduce:
Material usage
Transportation impact
On-site waste
Time spent unboxing

All shrink wrap used for Environ floor racks, wall boxes, and palletised loads contains 30% recycled material and is 100% recyclable, reducing waste without compromising protection.

Where void filler is required, we repurpose our own waste cardboard and paper to create fully recycled, fully recyclable void‑fill material. This approach prevents more than 3,500 kg of cardboard from entering our waste stream each year.

Our crash‑lock boxes are designed to open and assemble quickly, reducing time on site and eliminating the need for tape or additional materials. They’re durable, recyclable, and engineered to make installation smoother from start to finish.
To eliminate unnecessary printed materials, our packaging now includes QR codes that link straight to the relevant installation instructions.
Excel’s packaging strategy is built on real, measurable impact - not token gestures. By removing plastic, reducing material volume, and choosing responsible alternatives, we’re helping customers build networks that are not only high‑performance, but also environmentally responsible.
This is just one part of our wider sustainability programme, with more detail available across our dedicated sustainability pages.
