On match day it carries tens of thousands of simultaneous Wi-Fi connections, broadcast feeds to gantry positions and OB compounds, ticketing at every turnstile, ANPR on the car parks, IP CCTV across the concourses, point-of-sale in the kiosks, and digital signage on hundreds of screens. On non-match days the same venue runs conferences, exhibitions, concerts, school visits and corporate hospitality. The cabling has to do both jobs without reconfiguration.
